With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nora Lee Rawls of Aulander, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nora left this world on September 11, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Lee Bryan and George Bryan; and her brothers, George, Jimmy, Joe and Preston.
She is survived by: her husband Sherwood Rawls; her daughters, Lisa Lewis of Willow Spring, N. C. and Michelle Bryant (Joe Jernigan) of Woodland, N. C.; her grandchildren, Steven Alex Bryant (Amanda Outlaw) of Woodland, N. C., Courtney Davis (Steven) of Pittsboro, N. C., Henry Lewis (Rozie Black) and Claire Lewis of Willow Spring, N. C.; her great grandchild Phillip Davis; and her sister Marie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1437 NC-11, Aulander, NC 27805). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Aulander Cemetery.
