He is survived by: his wife Minerva Jean Hall Matthews; his children, Marty Matthews (Shelia) of Millennium, NC and Lori Parker (Joey) of Aulander, NC; his grandchildren, Cody Matthews (Hanna) of Smithfield, NC and Kaitlyn Parker of Aulander, NC.; his brother Jesse Matthews (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Matthews, Ola Ray Matthews and Eddie Riddick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
