With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herbert L. Betts Jr. of Aurora, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2026 at the age of 94. Though Herbert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Herbert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Cox; and his grandson Justin Cox. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Betts; and his son Glenn Betts of Aurora. He is also survived by 1 grandson, 4 great grandchildren, and his campground family.
