With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertie Mae Daniels of Autryville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ballard B. Autry and Pearl Autry (Autry); her husband Willie Daniels; her son Larry Daniels; and her siblings, Grover Autry, Earl Clayton Autry, Wiley B. Autry, Ruth Eris Tyndall, Romelia Stanley, Elizabeth Sessoms, Janie Sova, Pachie Johnson and Honesta Faircloth.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Ruby Doris Daniels of Autryville; her grandchildren, Kelly Daniels (Leah) of Osceola, Iowa, Marcus Daniels (Jeanna) of Roseboro and Amy Ammons (Michael) of Autryville; and her sister Gladys M. "Kitty" Klug of North Dakota. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; her great-great grandchild.
