JoAnne leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. JoAnne’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew JoAnne will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Otis and Pauline Williams Matthews; and her brothers, Cecil Dwight Matthews and Bobby Brantley Matthews. She is survived by: her grandchildren, William Robert Starling, Matthew James Starling of Winterville and Victoria Julian Starling of Raleigh; and her siblings, Albert Branson (Matthews) and Donna Williams (Jim). She is also survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
