It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Michael Campion of Autryville, North Carolina, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Campion and Laura Harris Mason; his stepfather Hugh Mason; and his stepbrother Tommy Mason. He is survived by : his wife Mabel Williams Campion; his daughter Kristin Haggerty (Michael) of Humble, TX; his stepchildren, Lana McLamb (Kevin) of Roseboro and Jimmy Butler of Autryville; his grandchildren, Devin McLamb (Jessica), Ryan McLamb and Jason Butler; his great grandchildren, Riley Baggett, Octavia and Madelyn McLamb; and his brother Harold Campion of Autryville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Bethabara Methodist Church, 5316 Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC 28318.

“Mabel and family - Our thoughts & prayers are with you now. While I didn't know Dick all that well, I sure know Mabel and always loved trading spouse stories about my Caroline & Mabel's Dick & crew. Dick usually took the role of "you're not going to believe what Dick did" but Mabel's love always shone thru in the telling. I'm not the only one at FSU who couldn't attend the service who hopes to see Mabel in 2024 and catch up on a couple years of stories & plans! Love, Jon & Caroline Parsons”
