She was predeceased by: her husband John Devine O'Neal; her great grandchild Shena Marie; and her parents, Sara Robinson Gray and Seymour Gray. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Dillard (Ray) of Chesapeake, VA, Joanne Hayes (Phil) of Currituck, NC, Michelle Davis of Avon, NC, Laura Pitetti (Jimmy) of Buxton, NC, Lisa Sturgill (Keith) of Avon, NC., John O'Neal, Jr. and Frank O'Neal; her grandchildren, Wendy O'Neal, Angela McKinney, Dianne O'Neal, Natasha O'Neal, Monica White, Brandy Dillard, Patrick Dillard, Torie Kennedy, Sarah Hayes, Catie Hayes, Scott Davis, Jr., Jessica Davis, JB Pitetti, Jr., Hope Sturgill, Zach Sturgill, Chad O'Neal and David O'Neal; her siblings, Clara Williams of Buxton, NC, Sylvia Midgett of Waves, NC and Seymour Gray of Avon, NC; and her close friend Claudine Williams of Avon, NC.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John United Methodist Church (40336 McMullen Rd, Avon, NC 27915). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St John United Methodist Women, PO Box 129, Avon, NC 27915, to continue supporting the community she cared for so deeply.
