He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Fussell and Dessie T. Fussell; his wife JoAnn Heath; his brother Melvin Fussell; and his granddaughter Kristin Amerson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Fussell (Jackie) of Sharpsburg, Dr. Randy Fussell (Bobby) of Greenville and Dee Ann Speer (Barry) of Winterville; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Speer, Amanda Speer, Michael Fussell, Stewart Fussell Savin (Ryan) and Davis Fussell (Jessie); his great grandchild Joel Fussell; and his brother Glenn Fussell (Connie) of Grifton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
