Mervis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mervis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mervis will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rucky Stocks; his parents, Christine Wilson and Mervis "Shot" Stocks; and his brothers, Willie Lee and John Wayne Stocks.
He is survived by: his daughter Christie Stocks (Sarah); his grandsons, Lane and Logan Stocks; and his sisters, Mary Britt of Maple Hill, NC and Pearlie Carson of Vanceboro, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
