He is survived by: his wife Sherry Strickland; the mother of his children Sharon; his children, Heather Young Whitley of Greenville, Christopher Michael Young of Macclesfield and Jennifer Leigh Morelli (Adam) of Durham; his grandchildren, Emilie and Spencer; his stepdaughter Stephanie Goetz of Ayden; and his pet Gizmo.
