It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Dean Hopper of Badin, North Carolina, born in Humboldt, Tennessee, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may James Dean find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Alvin Hopper and Era Ophelia Hopper; and his brothers, Alvin Ray Hopper and Daniel Houston Hopper. He is survived by: his wife Jody Hopper; his daughter Terrace Brykit (Steve); and his brothers, Benny Hopper and Tommy Hopper. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (428 Pee Dee Ave, Albemarle, NC 28001). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
His favorite saying and belief was " Nature never betrayed the heart that loved her."In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be shared to Tillery Compassionate Care or Christ Episcopal church of Albemarle .
