She is survived by: her mother Barbara Evans; her husband Gordon Claudius McLain; her children, Joshua McLain and Jenna Sawyer (Harley); her grandson Jensen Sawyer; her sisters, Wendy Barker (Ray), Angela Weaver and Janelle Benson (Scott); and her siblings' children, Robert Weaver, Thomas Weaver, Hollie Neathery, Katie Nida (Brent), Marcus Boyd (Mariah) and Courtney Benson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
