He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas Burgin and Elsie Sisk Burgin; and his wife Edna Blalock Burgin. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Burgin (Meg) of Apex, Jason Burgin (Sara) of Raleigh and Benjamin Burgin (Karen) of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Luke, Jenna, Olivia, Ethan, Ryland, Drew, Dalton, Kailyn, Aven and Gavin Burgin; and his brother James Burgin of Oxford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
