Walston (Marlo) of Durham, NC; his sisters, Evelyn Hicks of Durham, NC and Cleo Walston of Salisbury, MD; his siblings-in-law, Catherine Forbes of Durham, NC, Doris Forbes-Brown (Clement) of New Bern, NC, Leander Forbes Jr. (Debra) of Swansboro, NC and Benjamin Forbes of Greensboro, NC; his uncle Benjamin Beasley of New Bern, NC; and his aunt Margaret Crawford of Ecorse, MI. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Even in his later years and during the challenges of the pandemic, he remained deeply connected to his community—organizing monthly Zoom gatherings with his beloved Hillside High School Class of 1956, a tradition that has continued for four years.
