She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matthews and Annie Matthews; her husband Charles Wade Duke; and her daughter Amy Joy Duke. She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Parker (Craig) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Parker and Chase Parker; her siblings, Jan Kemp (William) of Middlesex and Tony Matthews of Bailey; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Matthews of Middlesex and Rhonda Matthews of Middlesex; and her siblings, Robert Matthews, Jr., Peggy Matthews, Reuben Matthews and Danny Matthews. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Stony Hill FWB Church (9649 Stoney Hill Church Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Bailey Town Cemetery (11499 NC-581, Bailey, NC 27807).
