With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nate Strickland Jr. of Bailey, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Nate shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Nate farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alene Strickland and Nate Strickland; his grandmother Annie Pella Rhodes Jones; his brothers, Charles Lee "Chess" Strickland and Clifton Strickland; and his brother-in-law Raymond E. Finch Jr..
He is survived by: his sister Louise S. Finch; his nephew Wade R. Finch (Jen); and his niece Heather L. Finch. He is also survived by four great-nieces; one great-nephew; and his beloved family.
