He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Dew; and his parents, Dennis Dew and Nannie Dew. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Dew (Beth), Stanley Dew (Brenda) and Glenn Dew (Sharon); his grandchildren, Dennison Dew (Amber), Matt Dew (Heather), Brooks Dew, Danielle Dew Knapp (Daniel), Lianna Dew Knapp (Hampton) and Tyler Dew (Rebecca); his sister Patricia Finch; his siblings-in-law, Bill Jackson and Mavis Perry Williams; and his caregivers, Helen Herbst, Pam Crocker and Carrie Vaughan. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church (3967 W Hornes Church Rd, Bailey, NC 27807). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bailey Cemetery (11499 S 581, Bailey, NC 27807).
