He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Joyner of Saratoga and Jennifer Cook (Randall) of Bailey; his grandchildren, Danyel Cates (Kris), Tabatha Cates, Kendall Cates (Maranda), Brad Joyner, Tyler Joyner and Landin Proctor; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Michael Cook, Austin, Carter, Khloe, Kayden Cates, Raylyn, Khloie Joyner, Konner Marshall, Avery Cates, Savannah, Hannah, Jaxon Cates and Layton Joyner.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Shingleton Funeral Home (2413 Nash St NW, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Stantonsburg Cemetery (306 Wooten Ave, Stantonsburg, NC 27883).
