He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Dale and Agnes Washburn Dale; his wife Jean Dale; his daughters, Amy Giles (Alan) of Gastonia, N. C. and Mary Beth Smith (Greg) of Iron Station, N. C.; his granddaughters, Amy Lynch (Timothy) of Pikesville, Stephanie Bond (Nathan) of Matthews, N. C., Elizabeth Tackett of Charlotte, N. C., Emily Lehman (Philip) of Signal Mountain, TN. and Molly Langley (Joseph) of Belmont, N. C.; and his brother Daniel Dale (Nancy) of St. Helena Island, S. C.. He was also cherished by thirteen great grandchildren.
