She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Blevins and Dollie Hoilman Blevins; her former husband George Garland; her grandchildren, Timber Ridge Bailey and Raylon Dean Cash Sparks; her sisters, Laura Belle Garland and Shirley Riddle; Paul Renfro and Mike Garland.
She is survived by: her husband Paul; her children, Marilyn Garland of Bakersville, Christine Hobson of Spruce Pine, Richard Garland (Diane) of Bakersville, Danny Garland (Janet) of Bakersville and Scott Garland (Denise) of Bakersville; and her brother Bruce Blevins of Bakersville. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
