She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Callahan and Elsie Callahan; her husband Robert Freeman (Bob); her son Gary Freeman; and her siblings, Francis Wise, Dave Callahan, Ronnie Callahan and Rabe Callahan Jr..

She is survived by : her son Greg Freeman (Amanda) of Spruce Pine; her brother Eddie Wayne Callahan (Betty) of Shelby, NC; her grandson Gabe Hoilman (Samantha) of Burnsville; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Persi Boyd.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Red Hill Baptist Church (4596 NC-226, Bakersville, NC 28705). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

The impression of faith, love and charity she left on those around her is not easily forgotten and seldom found on this earth.
