He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Linwood Morris and Kathleen Morris Hall (Huskins) of Lily Branch, NC.. He is survived by : his wife Linda Presnell Morris of Bakersville, NC; his children, Corey Morris (Beth) and Kaylee of Morrisville, NC; his siblings, Rick Morris of Spruce Pine, NC, Carolyn Wise (Tom Sparks) of Newland, NC and Marilyn Sparks (Richard) of Lily Branch; and his pets, Dottie and Tebow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Henline - Hughes Funeral Home (85 Crimson Laurel Way, Bakersville, NC 28705). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 4:18 PM at the Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
