He was predeceased by : his father Edd Bennett; and his siblings, Rita Bennett Peterson and Leonard Bennett. He is survived by : his mother Jennie Rhea Howell Bennett of Burnsville; his wife Diana Woody Bennett; his children, Kim Miller (L. R.) of Bakersville and Kevin Burleson (Brandi) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Cameron Burleson, Brayden Burleson, Lincoln Miller, Myla Miller and Kennedy Miller; his sister Joan Peterson (Darryl) of Green Mountain; and his nieces, Sonja Peterson of Green Mountain and Christin Whitson (Rickey) of Green Mountain.
