He was predeceased by : his parents, Hanford McCurry and Bonnie McCurry. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn; his children, Bryan (Judy) and Beth (Neal); his grandchildren, Zoey McCurry, Peyton Cornett, Gabriel Cornett, Colton Singleton, Jackson McCurry, Deegan McCurry and Judson McCurry; his sisters, Joyce M. Jenkins and Linda Sechrist (Ed); his siblings-in-law, Larry King (Nora), Gary King (Amy), San Morris (Philip) and Karen McGrady; and his close friend John Stewart (Karen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
