The memory of Ron McKinney (Bakersville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hettie Jean Bowman McKinney and Isom Hayes McKinney; and his son Derek. He is survived by: his wife Libby; his sons, Brian (Katherine) of Bakersville, Craig (Ashley) of Seven Devils, Eric (Kimberly) of Denver and Alan (Monica) of Matney; and his grandchildren, Ada, Isaac (Alexi), Zeb (Caroline), Bethany (Parker), Sarah, Lydia, Derek and Garrett.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Green Young Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bakersville Baptist Church (330 S Mitchell Ave, Bakersville, NC 28705).
