She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Virginia Wardell and Robert Leo Myers; her husband James B. Cheek; her sons, Robert James Cheek of Newland, NC and Thomas Irving Cheek of New Orleans; and her sisters, Jackie Brown of Durham and Jane Shields of Rocky Mount. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
