She was predeceased by : her parent Edgel Edward Ayers; her husband Robert Bruce Hughes (Bob); her son David Bruce Hughes (Deborah); her stepdaughter Isobel Oldfather (Gail); and her daughter-in-law Sue Hughes.
She is survived by : her stepsons, Richard Ray Hughes of Bakersville and Thomas Warfield Hughes of Cathedral City, CA; and her sons, Daniel Edward Hughes (Denise) of Concord, CA, Robert Dale Hughes (Sharon) of Asheville, NC and John Daryl Hughes of Bakersville. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
