He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack George Simmons and Mary Eugenia Davis; and his wife Alma Owen Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Jake Simmons of Easley, SC, Nenia Crawford (Roger) of Lake Toxaway, NC and April S. Judd of Balsam Grove, NC; his grandchildren, Jasper Grooms (Regina) of Anderson, SC, Joshua Grooms (Heather) of Honea Path, SC and Vada J. Wolf (Kenny) of Balsam Grove, NC; and his great grandchildren, Jacey, Jasmine, Ashlyn, Nikolai, Gabriel, Emily and Walt (D. W.). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and adopted (Store-bought) children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to Balsam Grove Fire Department.
