He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Reece and Bonnie Barnes Reece; his wife Joyce Locust Reece; and his children, Roger Reece and Emma Jean Reece.
He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Lambert (Eric); his grandchildren, Meli Fisher (Damien) of Balsam and Aaron Reece (Cristen) of Waynesville; and his great grandchildren, Dallas, Harley, Kiefer and Kaysleigh. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Balsam Baptist Church (105 Heavenly Rd, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
