He is survived by: his children, Parris Carter, Pierce Carter, Paxton Carter and Peylin Carter (Jennifer); his sisters, Karen Miller (Ron Tapley) and Kim Kirkland (Bobby); and his siblings' children, Caitlin Miller Easterling (Jonathan), Matthew and Luke Kirkland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (201 Robin Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
