She is survived by: her husband Freddie Gwyn; her children, Denise Suarez (Martin) of Summerville, SC, Samantha Knight (Sean) of Banner Elk, NC and Paul Rupard (Michelle) of Banner Elk, NC; her siblings, Freda Greene (Calvin) of Boone, NC, Barry Sheppard (Elvie) of Elk Park, NC, Richard Sheppard (Jane) of Elk Park, NC and Farrell Sheppard (Shelia) of Vilas, NC; and her grandchildren, Joseph McKinney, Michelle Roberts, Lora McKinney, Jordan Trivette, Jacqueline Cahan, Jarrett Pritchard, JoDee Ward, Blake Ward and Kaden Knight. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
