With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Townsend Eggers of Banner Elk, North Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Ray and Edna Rupard Townsend; her husband Eddie Eggers; and her siblings, Peggy Townsend and Dennis Townsend.
She is survived by : her children, Roxanne Franklin (John) of Banner Elk and Mark Eggers (Tami) of Banner Elk; her grandchildren, Hayley Franklin (Chris) of Banner Elk, Taylor Canter (Ricky) of Banner Elk, Chris Eggers (Kate) of Clayton and Josh Franklin (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Owen, Amelia, Lily Jane, Liam, Kylie and Raelyn; her sister Tina Johnson (Adam) of Bethel; her niece Nichole Huffman (Hunter) of Newland; her nephew Logan Johnson of Bethel; and her brother-in-law Mike Eggers (Linda) of Banner Elk. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
