She is survived by: her children, Teresa (Randy Gray), Darrell Townsend, Randy Townsend and Tammy (Eddie Smith); her grandchildren, Jacob, Brittany Townsend, Megan, Dale Murphy, Justin, Gwen Ward, Hayley Townsend, Faith Townsend, Mathew, Logan Smith and Travis Smith; and her great grandchildren, Maggie Murphy, Emma Townsend, Jason Townsend, Walker Ward, Ryleigh Ward and Caroline Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holy Communion Lutheran Church (1525 Clarks Creek Rd, Banner Elk, NC 28604). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at the Holy Communion Lutheran Church Cemetery (1525 Clarks Creek Rd, Banner Elk, NC 28604).
