He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Willard and Virgie Marshall Vester; his father-in-law William (Ethel Whitley); his uncle Paul; his aunts, Evelyn Bumgarner and Betsy; his brothers, Donald Vester (Peggy) and Timmy Vester; his brother-in-law Bobby Brannan; and his niece Pamela Jo Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Whitley Vester; his children, Tammy Vester Breedlove Pulley (Chris Pulley), Christopher Vester and Michael Eugene Vester; his grandchildren, Nicholas Breedlove (Brianna) and Lauren Breedlove McClanahan (Jonah); his sister Hazel Roberson; and his pet Max. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, lots of cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the NorthSide Church (1660 Beaver Pond Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
