With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Cook (Bear Creek, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Jerry's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jerry has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Cook and Barbara Oldham Cook. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stout Cook; his sisters, Sandra Raines (Tony) of Bear Creek and Pam Fields (Eddie) of Bear Creek; his uncles, Claude Cook (Inez) of Bonlee and Joe Oldham of Bear Creek; and his aunt Becky Oldham of Bear Creek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bear Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, or to the Goldston Methodist Church Men's Group in honor of Jerry.
