He is survived by: his children, Robert T. Hunnings of Raleigh and Susan E. Perkins (Charles) of Stuarts Draft, VA; his grandchildren, Scott Perkins of Otway, Michael Perkins of Florence, AL, Jessica Perkins of Stuarts Draft, VA and Rachel Perkins of Stuarts Draft, VA; his sister Hazel Alcock (Frank Alcock) of New Bern; his stepsister Wilma B. Merchant of New Bern; and his sister-in-law Deborah Whittington (Don) of Dunn, NC..
