She is survived by: her children, Patricia Joyce Kirk Mercer (James) of Pamlico Beach, JoAnne Kirk Willis (Tim) of Manteo and John Willis Kirk (Donna) of Washington; her grandchildren, James Christopher Mercer, Caroline Rene Mercer, Tricia Mercer Lewis, Gabrielle Willis Floyd, Samantha Lee Kirk and Ashley Kirk Tant; and her brother John Wayne Hooten (Judy) of Washington. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
