He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Lee "Ed" Barnes, Sr. and Wanda Johnson Lowell of Belhaven; his brother William Henry "Hank" Barnes, Jr.; and his stepfather William Warren "Pop" Powell. He is survived by : his stepfather Clifton Delmar Lowell of Belhaven; his sons, Edwin Lee Barnes III (Christine) of Youngsville and Jeremiah Johnson Barnes of Greenville; the mother of his children Patty K. Barnes of Dublin, VA; his sisters, Bonnie Barnes Guithues (Donald) of Belhaven, Amy Powell Johnson (Benjamin) of Belhaven and Kimberly Ann Powell of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Cole and Annabelle Barnes of Youngsville; and his brother Ron Estes (Brenda) of Greenville.
