She was predeceased by: her parents, George Francis Gaston and Mary Beam Gaston. She is survived by: her husband Dale Shelton; her daughter Mandy James (Nick); and her brother Ron Gaston (Joni). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gaston Memorial Park (1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
