He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawing and Frankie Garrett Lawing; and his siblings, Richard Lawing and Gwen Baucom. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Lawing; his children, Debbie Calvert (Eddie), Tammy Short (Michael), Lynn Brooks and Tim Lawing (Susan); his brother Johnny Lawing (Margaret); his grandchildren, Melissa (Aaron), Jonathan (Erin), Jeffrey, Brandon (Allison), Wade (Courtney) and Carmen; and his great grandchildren, Keylee, Noah, Landon, River, Charlotte and Lily.
