He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cohen Elgin, Sr. and Anne Elgin; his wife Anita Christine Ostwalt; his son Matthew Cohen Elgin (Heather); his grandchildren, Isabella Renee Elgin and Riggins Matthew Elgin; and his siblings, Hershel Edward "Ed" Elgin (Juanita) and Crystal Loreili Elgin Brown (Rodney).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery S. (501 S Main St, Belmont, NC 28012).
