She is survived by: her husband Jerry Mullis; her children, Derek Mullis (Wendy), Wendy Salyer (Greg) and John Mullis (Sarah); and her grandchildren, Summer Mullis, Hannah Deaton (Joey), Rebekah Salyer, Abigail Salyer (Jonah Hammons) and Adilee Mullis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peak Resources, 7615 Dallas Cherryville Highway, Cherryville, NC 28021.

“Diane was such a beautiful woman. We first met her when we went to Dotson's Fish Camp. She was always talking about her church and kids. When we started looking for a new church, she was always inviting us to Catawba Heights Baptist. We eventually joined and worshipped with her and her husband and sons together for some 24+ years. She is truly missed and will always be a cherished memory for my wife Nancy and I. Nancy and Farrell Breithaupt”
