He is survived by: his siblings, Ken Baker, Lucena Schaerrer, Barbara Balls and Lisa Pulley; his sons, Andrew (Nerissa) of Blairsville, GA and Brian of Hillsborough, NC; and his grandsons, Logan, Bryson, Trent, Jackson and Tyler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (230 Baldwin Ave, Marion, NC 28752). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be sent to McDowell Technical Community College Foundation.
