We bid farewell to James Leonard Lockhart of Belmont, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 12, 2024 at the age of 56. James Leonard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his mother Hazel Lockhart Jr.. He is survived by : his mother Deborah Ann Lockhart of Belmont; his son Jacob Alexander Lockhart; his stepdaughter Amaya Sawyer; and his brothers, Nelson Alexander Lockhart and Clifton Thompson. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the O'Connor Grove AME Zion Church (613 N Main St, Belmont, NC 28012).
