She was predeceased by: her parents, Odus Elliott and Violet Richardson Elliott; and her siblings, Odus Elliott, II, Horace Elliott, Myrtle Elliott and John Elliott.

She is survived by: her sons, Todd Gensmer and Robert Gensmer (Reina); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Orr (Jeff), Jennifer Gensmer, Haley Gensmer, Jordan Gensmer, Bella Gensmer and Arletty Gensmer; her great grandchild Willow Gensmer; her siblings, Jay Elliott of Florida and Shirley Chestnut of South Carolina; her daughter-in-law Samantha Gensmer; and her friend Patsy King. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
