She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carl Beaty and Edna Mayfield Beaty. She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley Goodrum and Floyd Beaty; her husband Joe B. Rankin; her children, Allen Rankin (Laura) of Charlotte and Lynda Schott of Gastonia, NC.; and her grandchildren, Daniel Rankin (Emily), Paul Rankin, Anna Schott and Rick Schott, Jr..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Catawba Heights Baptist Church (311 Belmont Mt Holly Rd, Belmont, NC 28012). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Heights Baptist Church, located at 311 Belmont Mt Holly Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
