It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Susan Cox of Belmont, North Carolina, born in Timmonsville, South Carolina, who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley and Mae Reynolds Waldrop; her husband Evans Blair Cox, Jr. (E. B.); her son Michael R. Cox of Franklin, NC; her brothers, John Wesley Waldrop (Buddy) and William Albert Waldrop (Al); and her grandson Joshua Matthew Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Blair Cox, Sr. (Lydia) of Stanley, Matthew Stephan Cox (Sherry) of Stanley, Mary Cox Wilson (Doug) of Belmont and Mona Cox Morgan (Michael) of Denver; and her siblings, Linda Stokes of Florence, SC, Beth Howell (Carlton) of Timmonsville, SC and Ricky Waldrop of Florence, SC. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
