She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Preast; her brother Caroll Sanford; and her parents, George Carroll Sanford Sr. and Joan Dale Sanford. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Stalvey (Russell) of Mount Holly and Tammie Elswick (Johnny) of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Kevin West (Jaclyn), Emily West, Natalie Blake (Travis), Chris Elswik (Carter), Emily Stalvey (Jason), Preston Stalvey (Margaret) and Hannah Harvol (Paul); and her great grandchildren, Lilly, Jack, Addie-Mae, Asher, Ella, Emma, Eli, Carson, Charlotte, Chole, Mavrick, Beau, Riley, Easton and Bobby Sanford.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
