He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mitchell and Arlaminta Eckenrod Mitchell; and his siblings, Charles, Kenneth, Bergal, Robert Mitchell, Helen Mitchell, JoAnne Lyndsley and Lurana Stiles.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Mitchell; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Lucy Mitchell; his grandchildren, Matthew, Joseph (Grace) and Claire Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Logan and Ryan Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
