He is survived by: his husband David W. Smith; his sister Vivian Ruthig; his siblings-in-law, Kaira Collins, Mark and Bonnie Smith; his nieces, Kimberly Hope Stout (Matt H.), Cindi Ruhl, Mindy Dougherty (Dale), Bernadette Peuster (John), Kathleen Heinrich and Bonnie Collins; his nephew Bernard Collins; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Madison Stout, Chelsey Usher (Chad), Allison Collins, David Potts, Daniel Dougherty, Drew Dougherty, Logan Collins, Colton Collins, Garrett Howell, Joel Puester, Christian Puester and Matthew Puester.
